This malware, called Anubis, uses code extracted from Loki. Used to steal e-wallet credentials, credit card details and other valuable information from Windows users.

Through a number of websites, the cybercriminal group tricked people to download Anubis, then stole information and sent this information to command and control servers via HTTP POST commands.

Microsoft says it will continue to monitor threats. Cybersecurity experts suggest that the way to avoid downloading is to not click on any confusing emails. Since the original Loki code uses social techniques to target its victims, sending an email attachment, once clicked on, installs the malware.
