ECB polls public opinion about issuing a digital euro currency

Digital euro – On November 1st, The president of the European Central Bank (ECB) Christine Lagarde said that the ECB will conduct a survey to poll public opinion about issuing a digital euro currency.

In a series of articles posted on Twitter, Ms. Lagarde wrote:

“As Europe is stepping up the digitization of payments, savings and investments, we are forced to prepare plans to issue a. I’d love to hear from everyone on this.”

The President of the European Central Bank added: “We have launched a poll so that the Europeans can speak their minds and let us know if they agree to use copper. The digital euro is issued by a central bank with the same availability and security as traditional euro coins or banknotes.”

In addition, Ms. Lagarde also mentioned many other scooping topics in recent years, such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ECB’s response, the importance of central bank policies on climate change, and how money 4.0 affects the lifestyle of today’s Europeans.

Meanwhile, China is on the verge of making more policy adjustments to make way for the digital yuan, with the latest move proposing to amend the law to accept the currency.
